There seems to be an increasing amount of lawyers who are not listening to what the accused and family have to say. This is a very dangerous situation as you lived the situation and the lawyer did not. Accused and families have a lot to offer. As a consultant I am often the go-between for the accused and family to the lawyer. It is very important for attorneys and/or consultants to understand the family dynamics when choosing experts or even considering questions to ask potential jurors. Particularly with allegations of child sexual abuse, the more information the better!
